Why Can’t the Gilmore Girls Make It Work?

Gilmore Girls is all about women who really contribute to their families and the world around them. In fact, Rory even gets to chose between ivy league schools. Lorelei gets to be the mother of someone who choses between ivy league schools. However, no matter how successful they are in business or at school; they always fail at love.

I really am confused by this. They have plenty of communication with each other. They accept how quirky they are like the fact that Rory always has to be early to the first day of school every year. They both have life long best friends which shows that they are willing to end fights and work on relationships and they have a great sense of loyalty. Then why don’t they just translate that into their relationships with men or do you just think that they always make the wrong choice even if it really look like the right one?
